Description:

CRMA conference Sept. 8
The annual conference of the Canadian Reformed Missions Association (CRMA), scheduled to be held Sept. 8 at the Canadian Reformed Seminary, is open to the general (church) public. We will focus on two very relevant mission topics. First, Mr. Gilbert Langerak of the Canadian Council of Christian Charities (CCCC) will speak on the topic of compliance with CRA regulations when working overseas. The CRA is tightening the rules and it is important to protect the charitable status of your church or organization. Mr. Langerak will explain what churches, deaconries and Christian charities are allowed and expected to do in terms of financial support of mission projects in other countries. After the coffee break, Dave & Trish Holabeck will address the topic “Pre-field, on-field and post-field care for global mission workers and their families.” The Holabecks work as pre-field coaches and adult facilitators for Mission Training International (MTI) in Palmer Lake, Colorado. This presentation will be followed by a panel discussion, with Revs. Henry & Rita Versteeg and Ian & Nadia Wildeboer participating. This is an important topic for members of mission boards and organizations who send out mission workers to other parts of the world. Delegates of mission boards and member organizations, please note that CRMA’s business meeting will be held after lunch break, starting at 2 PM. Please join us for a conference that promises to be very informative.
