Anchor Association Walk-a-Thon

Due to the ongoing Covid concerns and restrictions that are in place, we have decided to have a 'virtual' Walkathon again. So, rather than gathering at the park as per other years, we are asking that you consider helping us make this event a success by doing one of the following:
1. Organizing a small group of friends or your family to do the walk on (or around) Saturday, September 18, 2021, which was going to be the walk-a-thon date. Request sponsorship as you would have done in previous years. Sponsor sheets will be available on the Anchor website, www.anchor-association.com or contact the office for a paper copy.
2. Sponsor a resident from one of our homes and they will do the walk. Feel free to contact the home to select a resident to sponsor or sponsor the entire home.
3. Send a special donation by e-transfer or cheque, earmarked 'walk-a-thon'. The Anchor Association benefits greatly from this annual event for both, the running of the homes in addition to some extras. This year again the homes are depending on our generosity and contributions. We are optimistically hoping to exceed last year's virtual walk-a-thon amount of $31,000.
Participants can send an E-transfer (for the total raised) and email in a copy (scan or photo) of their sponsor sheet to administration@anchor-association.com; or mail in cheques to head office – 361 Thirty Road, Beamsville, ON, L0R 1B2 (please do not send cash). Please make sure that Walk-a-thon is noted on the memo line. We are also asking that all funds and/or donations be sent in to the Anchor head office by October 9th.
